Directions

From the North, The East, and The South

Take the A30 dual carriageway to Whiddon Down, then continue on to Sticklepath.
Ignore the signs for South Tawton and South Zeal at the outset.
Pass a massive office building at the bottom of the slope.
Turn RIGHT at FORD CROSS, which is marked South Zeal and South Tawton, after approximately 14 miles.

Follow the road to South Tawton, past the church, and bear left at the crossroads (Slew Hill Cross). After about 150 metres, take the first main turning left into an unmade path.
Turn left through the gate at the bottom of the hill and go 300 metres.


Taw Bottom is situated in the centre of Devon at South Tawton, near Okehampton. One of its boundaries is the River Taw, and it is within walking distance of Dartmoor.  More details on the site can  be found here: https://devonguides.org.uk/taw-bottom
